The
Travel Channel's
"Hotel Impossible" visit to the Dream Inn of Daytona
will be aired on Monday, August 6th at 10:00 pm.
Anthony Melchiorri,
a hotel "fixer," who can turn any establishment around in weeks ... and he does
just that in Hotel Impossible, a new one-hour series.
Each episode features a hotel that is having problems or is not living up
to its potential. Melchiorri secretly scouts the property and identifies its
biggest problems. He then meets with the staff from front desk receptionists to
housekeeping to the owners themselves to determine the key operation issues.
Some owners could risk losing their hotels if Melchiorri's renovations do not
work. After coming up with a plan and prescribing the changes that need to be
made, Melchiorri revamps and re-motivates the staff and transforms the hotel.
Whether it is demonstrating the proper way to pour a glass of wine or gutting
and redecorating a lobby, Melchiorri knows how to turn a struggling hotel into a
bustling tourist destination.

TYL Construction was asked to be the General Contractor on the project and worked at the direction of Blanche Garcia during the filming of the Daytona episode. "What a great experience to be a part of" said Lloyd Davis, President of TYL Construction. "Working with Blanche and watching how Anthony would inspire everyone around him, you can quickly see that the show isn't just about fixing a Hotel, it's about getting people to recognize problems and then getting them excited about doing whatever it takes to fix them."
"Working with TYL was one of the easiest experiences I've had working with a contractor", said Garcia. " And Lloyd was so dedicated... I found him literally working underwater in the pool without even asking him to", referring to a time in which Davis was working to fix a jet valve in the pool. "As a team we really put our blood, sweat, and tears into the Dream Inn to make it the success we know it can be."
The Dream Inn episode is the finale of Hotel Impossible's first season.
The Travel Channel just announced that the show has been extended for a
second season.
