Swann and Associates Back After Tornado Slams Central Florida!

Many months have passed since the tornado swept through DeLand.  As I stated at our Grand Reopening, we have fully recovered and have completed all repairs.  This is largely due to the quick & efficient response of people like you.

I've included a copy of the DeLand Beacon, which showcased our opening as well as the businesses that made it possible.  Please accept my gratitude for all your hard work.

Swann and Associates Celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Swann Landing

surrounded by friends, family and business associates, Todd Swann presided over the ribbon-cutting and dedication of the Swann Landing plaza July 3, 2007.

The even signified the beginning of a new era for the plaza, which suffered damage in the Feb. 2 tornadoes.

Swann expressed thanks to his tenants, including Mattress Girls, ACR Computers, Modern Martial Arts Academy, and Calvary Full Gospel Church, for their patience and support throughout the  rebuilding process.

"This couldn't have been done without them," Swann said.

A new veterans memorial, located in front of the plaza, was also dedicated during the event.  The memorial is a tribute to all veterans and specifically honors Swann's father, J. Harold Swann, and his nephew, Brandon Swann Bryant.  The elder Swann was a Korean War veteran; Bryant is currently serving in Iraq.

Todd Swann and his family have been an integral part of the DeLand community for decades.

Todd, a lifelong DeLand resident, grew up in the family business, "Todd's Grocery & Ice," which his grandfather established in 1932.  After his graduation from Stetson, Todd opened his own real-estate business in 1987.

Swann and Associates, located at Swann Landing, now includes nine full-time sales associates and support staff.

Todd has been a member of the West Volusia Association of Realtors since 1978, and has served as both secretary and treasurer of the organization.  He is choir director for the Christian Church at DeLeon Springs and has been on the Blue Lake Elementary School Advisory Council for many years.
